Hugo received an MSci in Chemical Physics with First Class Honours at the University of Bristol in 2019. He joined the Computational Spintronics group at Trinity College Dublin in September 2019 to start his PhD on the discovery of novel magnetic materials with high-throughput calculations and machine learning techniques. Hugo has a strong interest in condensed matter physics and materials informatics and is working on efficient screening methods to accelerate materials design. These methods will be combined with high-throughput density functional theory calculations in order to probe the properties of novel materials.
